We are looking for a resilient, empathic business development executive to contribute to the growth of our company. Business development executives are responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging extant clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. You will also be required to build capacity in staff through regular training and mentorship. To be successful as a business development executive, you should attend networking events with the intention of attracting and retaining clientele. Ultimately, an outstanding business development executive will keep a close eye on clients' feedback to ensure that our products and services always exceed expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Platform Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of Upwork, Freelancer, and other relevant platforms to identify and bid on projects that align with our company's expertise and capabilities.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively search for potential projects that match our services, utilizing search filters and other tools to identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Proposal Creation: Craft compelling and tailored proposals that highlight our strengths and effectively communicate the value we can bring to clients' projects.
  • Client Engagement: Communicate professionally and persuasively with clients through platforms' messaging systems, addressing their inquiries and building rapport.
  • Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate project terms, scope, and budgets to secure favorable deals that align with both client needs and company goals.
  • Project Documentation: Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth handover of projects, providing all necessary documentation and information.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with clients, aiming to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies to tailor our bids and offerings effectively.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of bids, interactions, and outcomes using internal tools and systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to gather relevant information for proposals and ensure alignment of messaging.
  • Targets and Results: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly bid-related targets, contributing to the company's growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bidder on platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of various industries and technologies in web, mobile, and software development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Persuasive and confident negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and client engagement.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple bids concurrently.
  • Results-driven with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • A proactive approach to lead generation and opportunity identification.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
